This fall, Northwest College contacted me for a quote on banners to announce their then upcoming move. Northwest College of Beauty’s Eugene campus was planning to move to a new location on Green Acres Road starting January 2, 2015. When they called me in early December, they had a tight timeline for getting the word out to their clients about the big move. They wanted a set of banners to hang in their windows along with printed materials to mail and hand to customers.
I designed a set of five larger and two smaller banners that would complement their current branding while offering enough contrast to catch their clients’ attention. We opted for vinyl, semi-tack face mounted banners so they could save money by hanging the banners themselves. The banners were designed to hang inside the windows so they’d be protected from our changeable Oregon weather. The semi-tack adhesive allowed them the flexibility of being able to remove and reposition as needed, making it easier for them to hang the banners like pros.
To compliment their new banners, I designed a set of discount cards announcing the move and encouraging customers to stop by the new location using the business card format to keep the printing cost low. We added a set of postcards to announce the move to their mailing list as well. The discount cards used their existing design elements, rounded corners and a matte finish, to match their existing business cards.
The results were perfect. Selisha, the School Supervisor for the Eugene campus, loved the banners, and everyone was wowed by the discount cards and postcards. What they all loved most was the price. We completed the entire project within two weeks for considerably less than they’d expected to pay. They saved a lot by going with Mud Paw Design House.
